HAPPY 17 MONTHS

Wow- Austin is 17 months old today and growing so fast. We have been super busy this summer going here and there that I guess I haven't had time to think about how much he has learned in a short span until now. Austin is my bundle of joy and I am so thankful to be his mother. I am enjoying mommyhood to it's fullest!
Austin's personality is becoming more and more BOLD meaning he is very expressive with his feelings. Austin will tell me no and shake his head no when he doesn't like something. Yes, our little guy is so expressive he falls out with a TEMPER TANTRUME if something doesn't go his way! (I am struggling with this right now as a mother.) On the other side, he is a happy and friendly child. Austin shows excitement over the littest things and laughs all the time! I love to hear him giggle! Austin talks nonstop. He is definitely going to be a talker and he gets that honest! Over the past month he has said several new names very clear: Mimi, Cameron, Lee and Hayden. Austin is starting to put two words together as he will say, "no mommy!" He is such a smart little guy! Austin loves to point to objects especially in books, dogs, flowers, kitty, ball, banannas and airplanes. He is a dancing machine and he gets his moves from his dad. Austin is starting to sing aloud to his favorite songs or with mommy. He enjoys playing games with mommy and daddy such as chase. We chase him around the house and then he will chase us, but usually he gets tickled he can't get us. Too Funny! One special thing he does is holds his hands together while we say the blessing and sometimes says, "Amen". We are working on using a spoon with cereal and yogurt. Austin is doing good, but he prefers to do it himself which is always messy. Austin's independent skills have really taken off. He likes to attempt to put his shoes on his feet, take his shirt on and off and brush his hair. Austin loves, loves the Wiggles, and we are looking forward to seeing them next weekend in concert!
