Austin was playing in his playroom having a ball! I was listening to him as he was talking very loudly to one of his favorite books that has animal pictures in it. All I could get from it was MAMA, DADA, and rest jabber. I saw him pointing to a picture with a cow and saying, MOOOO. I was so proud because I usually have to prompt him to say, "moo" for cow. I couldn't believe he did it several times by himself. Then, he moved on to his drum, sticks and bells. He started hitting his sticks together and it sounded like he was trying to sing as he jabbered (that's what we do in music class). I was shocked that he found a beat with the sticks without me helping him. When he finished with his instruments he moved to a walking toy he likes to push. Austin was telling that toy something serious because he'd push his toy, then stop and look at it, talk for a second, then start back moving again, and he'd stop and look, and talk some more. But the best part was when he started laughing at himself. It touched my heart to hear my precious little boy's voice talking and laughing. It seems like yesterday he was just born. I realize very little is needed to make a happy life.
