CATCHING UP!

Austin graduated from Music Garden "Babies Class" last Friday, May 16. Our room was packed full with parents and grandparents cheering on the children. Austin had a blast showing off all the things we do in class together. We all had a great time watching Austin and his friends. Austin received his first certificate and a gift from his teach Ms. Beth. We are missing her already, but we start back with a summer class in June. We are definitely looking forward to it! I have great news (no, I'm not pregnant)! AUSTIN IS WALKING! He has been on the go since Wednesday, May 21. Nana, Emily and I were surprised to see Austin take off like he did. NO WARNING! NO NOTHING! HE JUST WENT FOR IT! Someone told me awhile back Austin would take off one day and start walking. I wasn't too sure about that because he had no desire what so ever to walk (I thought it would be a gradual process), but that is exactly what he did. We all were shocked and happy at the same time. Emily told me she is Austin's lucky charm because she was the first one to see him walk. I thought that was a cute thing for her to say. Austin still prefers to crawl, but he will take about 6 to 8 steps without falling. His problem right now is he likes to talk and walk at the same time which is messing him up. Everyday he is building up his confidence and walking more and more. He is definitely determined to walk. I am proud of my little guy because I see how hard he is trying to do it!
