DREAM DINNERS

Tonight two good friends, Michelle and Tracy joined me to a Dream Dinners party at Market Common. It was so much FUN!! It was nice to be with girls and cook with people who did not know what they were doing just like me. HA! I had never heard of Dream Dinners before so I didn't know what to expect, but it was a neat experience. When we arrived I was impressed how organized they were. We were given a name tag, apron, a number was assigned for our food, water, and drawer for our belongings. We were immediately told to wash our hands and pull back our hair. Once we were ready for the kitchen we started preparing our 3 serving meal which was Savory Grilled Pork Chops. After preparing the pork chops we put it in the freezer in our assigned section and that's when the fun started! We were able to sample small portions of different entrees and desserts. One of my favorite entrees was the Chicken Paella (it's similar to Chicken Bog, but veggies are added and the rice is yellow instead of white) and my favorite dessert was the SINFUL Cheesecake Xangos. Oh, my goodness! If you're wondering how it works- it's really easy. You make an appointment at a local Dream Dinners and they will have waiting for you all the ingredients you need to assemble your dinners. When you finish you take your dinners home and freeze them. When you're ready to fix a meal take what meal you want out of the freezer to thaw, then cook. That's it! I was surprised how inexpensive it was compared to buying groceries. Let me just say if you ever do this you must go with a fun group of girls! We all had a blast just spending girl time together, but I haven't laughed as hard as I did in so long. I had a great time!!! We all scheduled an appointment to do this again in June, but instead of making 1 meal will be making 12!!! WOW! We are the last party scheduled that night and we will be able to stay as long as we want! Looking forward to it!
