HAPPY 18 MONTHS!

Can he get any cuter?!? I must say that Austin is in an adorable stage right now. So far this stage is my favorite. Austin is learning so much and learning it so FAST (he gets his "smart" genes from mommy! HA!) We are super busy now, trying new things, exploring everything and having a blast on our journey together.

  • Scribbling and playdough have become Austin's newest things. We have been working on coloring for a while and now he's got it down. He likes to scribble in coloring books and on his drawing pad. He also likes to add stickers on his artwork. We are so proud of his artwork it covers our refrigerator. Playdough is an obsession right now and is driving me crazy. I'm glad he likes it, but he is nuts over it! He wants playdough all the time as he says, "O MOMMY! O MOMMY! OOOOO MOMMY!"
  • I have a boy who loves to stay neat and help me clean our house. I am impressed how clean Austin likes to be at his age. He doesn't like to get his hands dirty, but isn't afraid to get them dirty. He must dust them off if he falls down in dirt or grass before he can do anything else. He likes to wipe his mouth with a napkin, but mostly he wipes his entire face which smears his food all over him, and then he gives a cute grin. Austin loves to sweep the floor with his own children's broom, puts things in trashcan and helps me unload/reload dishwasher.
  • I've said it before and I'll say it again...Austin is going to be a talker! He talks to me all the time and gets mad when I can't understand what he's talking about. I think it's hilarious! He'll say something and I don't understand and he'll say, NO MOMMY! New words: Emily, Leigh Leigh, broom, golf cart, stink-stink (tells me when he poops), meow, mote (remote), stop, O (playdough)and truck. He is starting to put two words together. I love it when he gets close to my face and start telling me something with a serious expression or excitement! That's the best!
  • Austin loves to play and is showing more interest in playing with other children. Austin adores all our neighbors children, but loves Alexis and Alyssa! They are his cul-de-sac girlfriends! They love him too and he enjoys spending time with them outside. When it's time to go in he yells all the way into the house "NO MOMMY! NO BYE-BYE!"
  • Preschool started Tuesday, September 4th. Austin is going to preschool Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3 hours each day. I love it and he does too!!! It gives him time to play and learn and me time to practice yoga.
  • We have been looking forward to music class for weeks. Austin started Kindermusik on Friday. He graduated from babies class and now is in the toddler class. His class this year is a big difference from last year, but tons of fun. We definitely missed his teacher, Ms. Beth, and glad to be back!

How funny, looks like he is quite a talker. We miss you so much in our Musikgarten class. We are in the Thursday class again. Let's get together soon.
